Toward the One, the Perfection of Love, Harmony and Beauty, the Only Being, United with All the Illuminated Souls who form the Embodiment of the Master – the Spirit of Guidance
Dear Friends,
There is so much happening in the world today. We hear of the escalating results of global warming. The economy is in great disarray. Nations are suffering with questions of identity, war, hunger, and fear. At this time in the world you may find within your self a deep desire to offer something that might help – our selves, our nations, our planet – to evolve.
There was a question asked of Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan about wishing, and the great power of wishes that come true. I’m going to include his words below. Perhaps it will guide you on your way.
From Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan:
“Very few people in the world know what great power is hidden in the wish of a person whose heart is in the state of dancing, so to speak – full of joy. We read in the legends of old of sages calling upon their friends, pupils or followers at a certain time and asking them to make a wish, for they knew the moment when the wish could be granted.
Question: “Can you tell something more of the time that God grants wishes?”
Answer: “God grants wishes at two times. One time is when your heart is free from every thought, or feeling, or emotion; in the most peaceful and tranquil condition; at that time every wish that is sown is just like a seed sown in fertile soil. If one had the patience to wait in the great power of God, whatever be the wish, it will certainly be granted.
The other time when the wish is granted is when somebody is satisfied, has been made happy by you, and naturally, out of the heart, springs a kind of fountain which pours upon you a kind of blessing. It will be just like rain from above, which in time will bring its fruits and flowers.
A Practice:
You could do an experiment in wishes. Meet with loving friends, or sing your self to ecstasy, or offer your most heartfelt prayer – bring your self to that place of heart- dancing. Then make a wish for our world.
We may all be blessed. Toward the One,
Devi
